The
JANUS 2020 Batch
Built to take anywhere, this intelligent, rugged portable lets you
bring the power of your desktop to your worksite. The JANUS 2020 is
PC-AT compatible with a 386 microprocessor and runs Microsoft®
DOS, making it easy to program using many off-the-shelf standard PC-based
programs. Its industry standard PC card drive provides flexible expansion
of memory or I/O capabilities so your 2020 can grow with you as your
computing needs change. It is also available with a non-incendive
rating for hazardous environments. The JANUS 2020 portable has a large
16 by 20 backlit, high contrast, CGA-compatible display with virtual
25 by 80 display through windowing. There is no need to shift for
alpha characters with its 54-key alphanumeric keypad. A large 36-key
keypad is also available. |

The
JANUS 2020 RF combines RFDC with integrated scanning for real-time,
single-handed data collection.
The 2.4 GHz RF 2020 works with our 2.4 GHz access point-based system.
Access points bridge between an Ethernet environment and a wireless
network letting you roam without losing contact with an active application.
Because our 2.4 GHz system connects directly to your network, the
cost of installing an RF system is minimal compared to others, and
the 2020 works with existing Intermec RF systems. A 900 MHz version
is available offering the same spread spectrum RF performance as the
rest of our RFDC products for maximum coverage and durability; and
it's available with a nonincendive rating for hazardous environments.
The RF 2020 is fully PC-AT compatible with a 386 microprocessor. It
runs Microsoft® DOS 6.2, making it easy to program using many
off-the-shelf programs. A PCMCIA drive provides flexible capabilities,
so your RF 2020 can grow as computing requirements change.

& 2425 TRAKKER® Antares Handheld Data Collection Terminals
|
 |
The
T2420 is the batch model of the TRAKKER Antares handheld line.
It is a low-cost terminal with high-end features designed for broad
off-line data collection applications. It offers advanced features
such as a large 16 x 20 display screen, full alphanumeric keypad,
memory expansion capabilities, and sophisticated power management
through its state-of-the-art Lithium Ion battery. The T2420 features
industry standard programmability using Microsoft® C or the EZBuilder
Rapid Application Development Tool. It shares the same architecture,
modularity, bar code scanning options, and appearance of the T2425,
less the antenna and radio electronics, but also offers expanded storage
options frequently needed for off-premise batch applications. Host
communications for upload/download use a tabletop dock. Serial peripherals
are connected with a serial adapter for portability. Designed with
the operator in mind, the superior ergonomics deliver a comfortable
and rugged solution for physical inventory and cycle counting, infield
inventory, asset tracking, and maintenance management applications. |

The
T2425, is the wireless model of the TRAKKER Antares handheld
line. It will operate in rough industrial conditions and low temperatures
even after repeated drops. It quickly and easily interfaces to existing
applications with factory-installed terminal emulation options for
ANSI/VT 100/220/320and IBM 3270/5250 terminals. Or create your own
terminal programs in C or with the EZBuilder Rapid Application Development
Tool. A powerful 2.4 GHz radio provides excellent area coverage
and high interference immunity with a data rate of 1.6 MBPS for
maximum throughput.
The
terminal provides a cost-effective and reliable solution for achieving
operation efficiencies in warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing
environments. For fast, easy implementation, a T2425 network connects
to common host environments using standard protocols. The T2425
connects to standard Ethernet and IBM networks through the Model
200 controller which also provides guaranteed host connection. Or
configure the T2425 with TCP/IP for a direct connection to your
Ethernet or Token Ring LAN.
The
large display provides enough space for menus, help screens, or
even graphics. It is tilted to improve readability while scanning,
and the alphanumeric keyboard provides tactile feedback with the
frequently used numeric keys oversized for easier input.

standards based "Enterprise Data Collection" solution designed
to increase the accuracy of inventory control and decrease material
handling costs. It delivers the ease of use, ergonomics, and durability
demanded in Operations, with the familiarity of corporate information
systems standards such as Windows® operating systems, TCP/IP
connectivity, and web based remote management tools. With a large,
VGA display, graphics capability, full function 43 key keypad, and
optional pistol grip, the 5020 is appropriate for a variety of data
collection tasks on the shop floor, in the retail store front, and
on the production line. With an optional 2.4 GHz radio the 5020
can be easily configured for either batch or radio frequency wireless
to suit the particular needs of the application and user environment.
The 5020 eases the technology transition for data collection by
offering the latest familiar IT standards as well as tools specifically
designed to make multiple, remotely connected devices easier to
install, manage, and support over the long term.
The
Windows® CE operating system offers the familiarity of Windows
development tools such as Visual Basic and Visual C++ as well as
pre-installed standard connectivity protocols such as TCP/IP and
DHCP. The 5020 Data Collection PC "Remote Unit Manager" significantly
reduces upport time and cost by allowing all 5020 devices to be
managed over the Internet from any PC with a browser. The result
